Well after a great 40th birthday party for my sister Lisa Thurlow last night. We hit the road around 9am this morning. This years adventure is leading us to Outdoor World Gettysburg Farm in Dover, Pennsylvania. The trip went fairly uneventful. No traffic, no problems except all day Kathy and the GPS lady had a fight over whose directions were better! Kathy won!!!!!
After stopping for lunch at the Pennsylvania Information Center our next destination was Chocolate WOrld. As we arrived the smell of chocolate invades your senses. We bought tickets for the 3D movie and headed to the chocolate tour. At the end of the tour we were given Hershey drops to try. YUM!
Next we walked around the large gift shop and stores trying to decide what to buy when we come back on Wednesday. Nicholas, Zachary and Andrew even tried their hand at working in the cholate factory boxing up chocolate kisses! LOL
Next we checked out the new Creation Station where you can make your own desserts. I think Wednesday we just might have to get the chocolate fondue!
Next we headed to the 3D movie. Elephants, rats, water, bubbles, kisses attack you from everycorner! Then we got a choclate bar to enjoy on our way to the camp ground.
Once we reached the camp ground, we unloaded and unwound.
We finally decided to head out for supper. On the way Mikayla asked .... "Is that an ostrich?" It was a rug hanging on the line!!!!!
We ended up at Keystone Diner, which recieved 5 thumbs up! We asked the waitress if it was free refills and before your cup was empty you had a new one in front of you! Just ask Andy who had 4!!!! We had the most delicious fresh chicken parmesean, manicotti and Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich.
After a very filling supper we headed back to the campground to do this and head to bed!
But first here is the trivia question of the day>....... What was the very first product Milton Hershey sold?
caramels?
ReplyDeleteYES! It was not choclate but caramel! Good Job as usual Steph!
